Our Favorite Egg Salad

We couldn’t NOT share our favorite egg salad recipe. Made according to the old recipe of one of the Polish grandmas from Nowy Sącz is a staple dish that whenever someone makes at home, lasts usually for just one day. The secret lies in the cooked ham which, mixed with green onions, mayonnaise and – of course – eggs,  creates this delightful and fulfilling flavor. And you only need four ingredients! Make it at home and you’ll crave it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!


  • 5 eggs
  • 500 g of sliced cooked pressed ham
  • one bunch of green onions
  • 1/2 cups of mayonnaise
  • salt
  • pepper


Step 1

Hard boil the eggs. Put them aside to cool down.

Step 2

Chop the eggs and green onions. Cut the ham slices into one inch-long stripes.

Step 3

Combine the ingredients in a large bowl, add mayonnaise and mix gently. Add salt and pepper to flavor.

Step 4

Cover the bowl with a lid or a wrapping foil and put in the fridge for 30 minutes to let all the different aromas to mix.

Step 5

Your salad is ready! You can now spread it on a bagel, eat it on a toasted bun or wrap in a light lettuce leaf.
